We are heading to the heartland for an unforgettable week of competition, camaraderie, and community! The Maccabi Games take place Sunday, August 2-Friday, August 7. Our delegation will be arriving in Kansas City on Friday, July 31 for a pre-weekend experience for all athletes and staff for bonding and exploring!
To participate, athletes must:
- Be Jewish, defined as:
- Having at least one Jewish parent and being raised Jewish
- A Jew by choice and being raised Jewish
- If the family does not believe that they are Jewish on a year-round basis, then the child should not participate in JCC Maccabi
- Be 13-17 years old (born between August 7, 2008-August 1, 2013)
- Choose one sport to compete in:
- Boys baseball
- Boys basketball (5v5 and 3v3 offered)
- Boys soccer
- Coed dance
- Coed flag football
- Coed swimming
- Coed tennis
- Girls basketball (5v5)
- Girls soccer
- Girls volleyball
- Star reporter (photography, social media, and videography)
Cost & Registration
- SJJCC Members, $2,850
- Nonmembers, $3,000
A $500 deposit is required which is applied towards the overall cost. The cost covers all registration fees, uniforms and Maccabi gear, travel, accommodations, and all Maccabi activities, including those taking place for SJJCC during pre-weekend in Kansas City.
Important Notes
- You do not need to be an SJJCC member to participate
- Athletes must attend the entire trip from July 31-August 7, 2026 (includes pre-weekend)
- All athletes must travel with the full delegation to Kansas City
- Practice schedules will be determined by coaches
- If you attend summer camp, you can still participate! You’ll need to be present for the full Maccabi week but may miss some practices or socials earlier in the summer.
- If we don’t have enough athletes for a full team, you may be placed on a mixed team with other delegations.
